Everita Silina
Assistant Professor of International Affairs at The New School


Everita’s research interests include: theories of justice and legitimacy; representation and democracy in post-national context; political economy and theories of integration; the European Union and the politics of European Integration; human rights and international law. Currently, she is working on a project with Sheri P. Rosenberg at the Program in Holocaust and Human Rights Studies at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. The project reassesses the concept of genocide by combining international law, human rights and political spheres of inquiry. She has co-authored a study called, “Genocide by Attrition.” Everita has also chaired the International Affairs Program’s International Field Program summer program in Hong Kong. Areas of Expertise: Political Economy and Theories of Integration; the European Union and the Politics of Europeanization; Democracy and Democratic Governance; Human Rights; International Law; Genocide; Ethnic Conflicts; Critical Security Studies, and Human Security.
